When it comes to replacing one or more teeth in your mouth, a dental implant is often the treatment of choice and is also one of the most conservative treatments for tooth replacement. Implants are biocompatible posts that replace the roots of your missing teeth. They are physically and biologically designed to attach to your jaw bone and become the foundation for a natural looking restoration.

Sciascia dental is pleased to be able to offer complete implant services to our patients. The surgical placement of the implant is performed in our office using a computer guided system. We start with a CT scan of your jaw which is done at our office using a mobile CT service. By using the CT scan and some special computer software, we are able to plan precisely where to place the implant to get the maximum result. A surgical guide is then fabricated to be used during the surgery to place the implant into the jaw exactly as it was planned on the computer. The CT scan helps us identify the area with the best bone quality and density and visualize vital structures such as nerves and sinuses which then can be avoided. By using this technology, the implant can be placed safely and predictably into the best position.

After an appropriate healing time, Dr. Sciascia will restore the implant with a crown that has been custom made to fit the implant and the space to provide a naturally appearing and functioning tooth.

Your new tooth or teeth will have excellent stability and strength, and will look and feel like your natural teeth.


Implants are prescribed to replace a missing tooth or teeth.	An implant post is surgically placed into the area where the tooth is missing. In a few months bone will fuse to the implant.
