Anthony M. Sciascia, DDS
Dr. Sciascia, a native of Beloit. Wisconsin is a 1982 graduate of
Marquette University School of Dentistry. He also holds a B.S. degree from Marquette.
Following graduation from Dental School, he served four years as a commissioned officer in the National Health Service Corps where he provided dentistry to an underserved area in the Ozark region of Missouri. He was twice awarded the Commissioned Officer award by the U.S. Public Health Service. He continued in private practice in that area until 1990 when he relocated his family to Mondovi and began practice in the current location. He opened his second office location in Osseo in 2003.
Dr. Sciascia and his wife Penny, relocated back to Wisconsin so that they could raise their children among people with solid values and in a safe and beautiful environment. Buffalo County has served as the perfect backdrop for their family which has taken full advantage of the rural life and has developed a passion for all of the local activities from the usual hunting and fishing, to horseback riding, and gardening. At home, Dr. Sciascia can be found applying his artistic skills to woodcarving and photography, while Penny exhibits her talent by producing beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Their children, Anthony II and Christina are pursuing their education and training – Christina studying Business Management at Gonzaga University while Anthony is studying medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Sciascia is a true General Dentist and believes strongly that a General Dentist ought to be proficient in all phases of Dentistry. This allows his patients to receive almost all of the required care in one office. To this end, Dr. Sciascia has dedicated himself to learning and providing the full range of treatment, from simple restorations, surgeries and root canal treatments to advanced cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Sciascia continues to further his education in every aspect of dentistry by attending numerous continuing education courses so that Sciascia Dental can continue to be a leader in dental care.
Believing that a Dentist ought to be a leader in his community, Dr. Sciascia has remained active not only in his hometown but in the Dental Community as well. He is a member of the
American Dental Association,
Wisconsin Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Society in which he has held several offices including president. He is currently President of the
Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation, the charitable arm of the
WDA. He is a member of the
American Association of Implant Dentistry and the
Pierre Fauchard Academy.
On a local level, he is a member of the Mondovi Business Association and has served as president, as well as chairman of Friendship Days. He is a life member of the Mondovi Conservation Club, Wild Turkey Federation and a life member of the National Rifle Association. In his passion for the outdoors, he has instructed Hunter Safety for over 20 years. He has also served as President of a local Lions Club, American Cancer Society district and has served on or chaired numerous community committees and projects.
